Browser tools: nothing leaves your device

The image converter, word counter, and password generator run entirely in your browser. The files and text you process there are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any server. When you close or reload the page, that data is gone. The sections below cover the two features that do involve our servers.

AI summarizer

When you use the summarizer, the text you submit is sent to our server and on to Anthropic (the makers of Claude) to generate the summary, then returned to you. We do not store the text or the summary. We log only anonymous token counts per request so we can monitor cost. See Anthropic's privacy terms for how they handle API input; they do not train models on it.

Mue Watch

If you sign up for Mue Watch, we store the email address and the page URL you give us so we can do the job you asked: we fetch that page about once an hour, compare it to the previous version, and email you when it changes. To detect changes and tell you what changed, we keep a copy of the most recent fetched content of that public page. When a change is detected, a short excerpt of the old and new content may be sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a brief summary of what changed; that excerpt is not used to train models and is not stored by us beyond the latest snapshot. We keep all of this until you unsubscribe. Every change email has a one-click unsubscribe link, which deletes the watch. We never sell or share your email, and we use it only for the alerts you requested.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, such as which pages are visited and roughly from where. It is privacy-friendly and cookieless: it sets no cookies and does not build a profile of you or track you across other websites. We do not use it to identify individual visitors. We also keep a simple first-party count of how many times each page path is viewed per day. It too is cookieless and stores no IP address, no device information, and no query strings, only the page path and a daily tally, so we can see which pages people find useful.

If you contact agent@mue.app, we keep your message only to reply. It is never sold, shared for marketing, or used for any other purpose.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email us and we will act on it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
